What you get

What a data request covers

One research question, answered from our own collected data — the same three layers that run AuditSocials — with every row traceable to its primary source.

A custom extract

Platform policy changes (tracked since March 2026), regulator enforcement actions and EU DSA Transparency Database figures, filtered to your question — as CSV, JSON or Excel.

Source for every row

Each row links to its primary filing or official policy page, with the date we retrieved it — so you cite the original, not us.

Methodology note

Sources, scope, filters and known coverage gaps stated up front, so your methods section can describe the data honestly.

Citation details

How to cite the extract, plus the Zenodo DOIs of our public datasets where they apply.

One round of questions

Ask how a figure was collected or what a field means, and we answer once the extract is delivered.

3 months of Pro Policy Tracker

The full live policy-change feed across 8 platforms, so you can follow changes after your extract.

How we work

Built to a citable standard

The discipline that makes it safe to cite: named, dated, currency-accurate and traceable to a primary source — never an unverified claim.

  • Original currency, named parties

Penalties in their stated currency (AUD, GBP, EUR — not USD-normalised), with the parties named as the source names them.

  • Effective vs detected dates

Every date is labelled 'effective' (source-stated) or 'detected' (our log). A detection date is never presented as a deadline.

  • Our data only — no extrapolation

We extract what we have collected. We don't estimate, project or fill gaps, and we say where coverage is thin.

  • 5 business days

Each extract is checked by a person before delivery, within 5 business days of your request.

One-time

A data request for your research — $200, one-time.

Tell us your research question and the data you need, then pay securely through Paddle. We deliver within 5 business days. No subscription.

Is: a one-time, custom extract from our own collected platform-policy, regulator and DSA data, with a methodology note and a source for every row.

Isn't: peer-reviewed analysis, new data collection beyond what we track, or legal advice. Our public datasets on Zenodo remain free under CC BY 4.0.

Extracts are prepared from AuditSocials data and checked by Emine Gürcü, Product Lead.

Who it's for

  • Academics & platform-governance researchers
  • Investigative & tech-policy journalists
  • Policy think tanks & analysts
  • Trade press covering platforms and regulation

The gain: a clean, citable dataset for your exact question — without building the collection pipeline or cleaning the data yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What researchers and journalists ask before requesting data.

What is an AuditSocials data request?
A one-time, custom extract from our own collected data — platform policy changes, regulator enforcement actions and EU DSA Transparency Database figures — filtered to your research question, with a source link for every row and a methodology note. It costs $200, one-time, and includes three months of Pro Policy Tracker access.
Are your datasets still free?
Yes. Our public datasets on Zenodo stay free under CC BY 4.0. A data request is the work of pulling, filtering and documenting a custom extract for your question.
What data can you provide?
What we collect: platform policy changes across 8 platforms (tracked since March 2026), regulator enforcement actions we monitor, and EU DSA Transparency Database figures. We don't collect new data for a request, and we say where coverage is thin.
How do I cite it?
Cite the primary source linked on each row where possible. The methodology note says how to cite the extract itself, and gives the Zenodo DOIs of our public datasets where they apply.
Is it peer-reviewed?
No. It is reference-grade data collection, not a peer-reviewed analysis. Verify before relying on it and cite the linked primary sources in your own work.
How long does it take?
Within 5 business days of your request. Each extract is checked by a person before delivery.
How do I order and pay?
Click the button, describe your research question and the data you need, then pay $200 by card through our payment provider, Paddle. One-time — no subscription.
What if your data can't answer my question?
If our data can't answer your research question — for example it needs data we don't collect or a period before we started tracking — we tell you within 1 business day of your request and refund the $200 in full. Our general 30-day money-back guarantee in the refund policy also applies.
