Pinterest Adds 11 Markets to Its Alcohol Shopping Ads Ban
Pinterest added Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ghana, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Panama, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and Uruguay to the markets where alcohol shopping ads are not allowed.
Between June 18 and August 22, 2026, Pinterest's Merchant Guidelines added 11 markets to the list where alcohol shopping ads are not allowed: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ghana, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Panama, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and Uruguay. No markets were removed from the list.
What Changed
Pinterest's Merchant Guidelines include a list of markets where alcohol shopping ads are not allowed. On August 22, 2026, the AuditSocials Policy Tracker detected that 11 markets had been added to that list since our previous snapshot of June 18, 2026. None were removed.
The direction is a tightening: the number of markets excluded from this ad type grew.
"We currently do not allow alcohol shopping ads to target the following markets: Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, [...] United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and Vietnam
