The eight tracked platforms reported 81.52 million content-moderation decisions to the EU DSA Transparency Database in October 2026, according to AuditSocials' monthly Platform Enforcement Index. The daily average fell 28.8% from September, when the platforms reported 110.88 million decisions.

TikTok drove the decline. It reported 17.13 million decisions, down from 49.91 million, a 66.8% drop in the daily average. Its count fell by 32.78 million, more than the overall drop of 29.36 million, as several other platforms reported more decisions.

From October 1 to October 28, TikTok reported between about 0.15 million and 0.56 million decisions a day, compared with roughly 1.3 million to 1.9 million on most days in September. It reported more than 2 million a day from October 29 to October 31. The database does not record a reason for the change.

Facebook reported the most decisions, 34.18 million, with the daily average up 17.0%. Snapchat's daily average rose 28.3% and Pinterest's 10.6%, while Instagram's fell 30.1% and YouTube's 25.6%.

Intellectual property decisions more than doubled, with the daily average up 129.5% to 1.22 million decisions in the month, while most other categories declined. Of all decisions, 94.1% were fully or partially automated.

Facebook and Instagram are reported separately in the database. The counts reflect decisions reported, not posts made. Month-over-month changes compare daily averages because October has 31 days and September 30. Source: EU DSA Transparency Database, CC BY 4.0.
