Snapchat's reported content-moderation decisions in the Violence category rose to a 7-day average of 1,381, up +247.0% from a 30-day baseline of 398, according to the platform's reports in the EU DSA Transparency Database.
The movement was flagged with high severity by AuditSocials' anomaly detector, which compares the 7-day calendar average with the 30-day baseline for each moderation category. The flagged figures relate to reports dated October 7, 2026.
Snapchat reported 16,556 total moderation decisions that day across all categories.
The figures are counts of decisions the platform reports. A rise can reflect changes in reporting, not only changes in enforcement. The reports do not state a cause for the increase.
